History

The Eston Show is one of the oldest agricultural shows in KwaZulu-Natal, with a proud history spanning more than 70 years. It began at the local Farmers Association, now the Eston School Hall, where farmers gathered to compete in a variety of categories ranging from vegetables to livestock.

In 1969 the Show moved to its current home at the Eston Club grounds. What started as a small farmers’ competition steadily grew, and by the early 1980s agricultural suppliers were invited to exhibit, helping shape the Show into the vibrant event it is today.

Now in its seventh decade, the Eston Show has expanded to include over 100 large exhibitors, numerous trade and market stalls, competitive agricultural categories, and a full entertainment programme, making it a highlight of the local calendar for farmers, families and visitors alike.
